Our prayers and deepest condolences on the passing of a highly respected and distinguished Betan scholar and leader.
In March 1991, the UP SoCal brods and ladies had the honor of having Brod Pepe Abueva induct the officers of the UP Beta Sigma Southern California Chapter. At the house of Brod Carling Taguinod after the dinner reception, I remember Brod Pepe obliged us in karaoke with what must be one of his favorite Visayan songs, "Matud Nila". The following night, in his capacity as the sitting UP President, he also inducted the incoming officers of the UP Alumni Association of Southern California (UPAASC).

The debonair UP President is surrounded by the UP SoCal ladies.
