2^nd Annual Halloween Party

Halloween is really a special day for us to dress up like our favorite super characters and be like kids again without anyone thinking we are crazy. In fact Halloween is the perfect backdrop for a Beta Sigman party and fellowship----coming with its own color scheme (orange and black), scary atmosphere, abundance of food, endless supply of jug-a-lug (the true Betan tradition of enjoying all bottled spirits.....rum, beer, wine, whisky, cognac and all that fits into a friendly bar!), and including those not-so-scary costumes (but all for laughs), halloween fun games, sharing of frat ball anecdotes and campus mischief during our college days...but best of all, the priceless time that each Brod and their spouses share as we continue to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood that tie us here in our benevolent Pacific Northwest.

As your Brods and Sisters entered the haunted house of the Panlasiguis (charming home of our GP Nic and Sis Cindy) in Federal Way (a suburb south if Seattle), a glowing Jumbo Skull, sculpted and eerily mounted atop the main door, greeted guests. A distinct smell of "pinapaitan," "kilaweng kambing"and the cornucopia of party food and merry loads of desserts prepared by the host family and some brought in by the Brods, makes one wonder whether we could be in a traditional, food-filled Filipino fiesta back home in the Philippines instead.

 

The sight of the motion-activated skull, draped cobwebs from the ceiling created a perfect atmosphere for Halloween. The evening was primed for pure fun! And fun your Brods and Sisters surely had.

Saturday night was also capped with a productive and focused Quarterly Meeting and the signing by those present of our newly-minted Constitution and By-Laws ( CBL ) which was revised for the first time to be fine-tuned to the Fraternity Chapter's current needs and goals as a Non-Profit Organization.

 

And so....We are the few, the jolly, happy few....the die-hard Beta Sigmans of Seattle.
