Toronto Celebrates 32nd Anniversary Ball

The Beta Sigma Fraternity Alumni
Association of Ontario, Canada celebrated their 32nd Anniversary and 16th
Biennial Grand Reunion Fraternity Ball on July 18-20, 2024 at the Marriott
Courtyard Hotel in Brampton, Ontario.
A total of 137 guests comprised of Brods, Spouses, Sigma Beta Sorority Sisters
and other guests were there to celebrate with the Toronto Brods. GP Abe Gamiao
and his crew continued to show why the Toronto Reunion Frat Ball is always one
the hottest tickets in the frat ball circuit.
As it happened, Agnes and I flew to Toronto and met up with a few UPBSAA SoCal
members namely Brod Sonny P, Brod Manny B, Brod John A & Sis Greta. It was also
a chance for us to meet up with my Kabats Edwin E and Sis Sylvia E from the US
Midwest Chapter. We all attended the Hospitality Night and, of course, the
following evening’s Grand Fraternity Reunion Ball & dinner celebration.
It was a time to reunite with Brothers & Sisters from far and wide and from
times past. But it was also encouraging to see and meet the young - the Brothers
who will carry the mantle for the future of our beloved Fraternity. Throughout
food was abundant and the drinks flowed.
The morning of the reunion ball, two mini buses loaded with Brothers & Sisters
hit the Canadian highways headed towards famed Niagara Falls. It was jokes and
laughter the entire trip. Many of the passengers have made the trip before. Many
times. At prior reunion balls. But they make the trip over and over again. Like
a ritual or tradition. They say the trips are always fun and true it was. The
falls were truly magnificent, in sight and in sound that is. Our particular bus
had the privilege of being tour-guided by Brod Danny V of the Toronto Chapter.
He did a great job! I fact-checked him. He’s good!
The ball itself was a chance to see the Brothers and Sisters in full regalia. A
sumptuous buffet was served and the full program for the night started, followed
by spirited dancing by everyone. The party went into the wee hours.
