UP SoCal Remembers Mando, Celebrates Christmas

December 10, 2016 was the UP Beta Sigma Fraternity of Southern California Christmas Party. It was held at Sis Rexie Enrico's house at Buena Park. The day started with a Memorial Service officiated by Brod Pastor Rod Reyes for our departed brod's first death anniversary, Mando Enrico. Brods and ladies, co-workers, friends, neighbors and their families were in attendance to celebrate his life. It was a fitting reflection of what Christmas is truly about. It is the season of Peace and Love and it reminds us that it shall not just be a day but last a lifetime through.
After the Memorial Service, there was a taco
lunch served by the ever so friendly and accommodating caterers. It was
truly delicious and most kept coming back for more.

We will always remember Brod Mando.
The afternoon passed quickly with brods sharing stories, both current and past. Then it was time again to eat. It was getting a bit cold outside at the patio and so the brods decided to get inside the house and start singing Christmas carols. Joe with his guitar, Vale, Carling and Norman led the group into a medley of songs from the 60's through the 80's. In this season of Peace and Love, coming together and sharing our presence even for a few hours is a beautiful thing.
Christmas is celebrated in so many ways. And
it is up to us to share our lives, our love, values and traditions. As
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote: "I heard the bells on Christmas
Day; Their old, familiar carols play; and wild and sweet, The words
repeat; Of peace on earth, good-will to men!"
Thanking and blessing the Lord's bounty.
