Remembering Flor

The first project of the UP Beta Sigma Fraternity (Southern California) for 2012, the 8th Flor Pagador Bowling for Charity was a great success. It was held at the Jewel City Bowling Lanes, Glendale California last Saturday, January 28, 2012.

There were 32 players (we occupied 8 lanes) who participated in the event. The men's division winner, Ken De Groff, had a 3-game total score of 728 pins. Bella Ordona, who won last year's women's division is a repeat champion, with a 3-game total score of 574. The second place winner for the men's division is Virgil Hilvano who was awarded a $50 cash price. The men's champion won a Johnnie Walker Blue Label and the women's champion won $50 cash price cash. Cash prices, as well as the Johnnie Blue, were once again donated by our dear Brod Manny Gatmaitan, as well as 10 wine bottles that were raffled off. Brod Manny Gatmaitan and his lovely wife, Elma, had been the event coordinators for this annual Bowling Charity event the past few years.

Sonny and Cielly have always been behind the remembrance for our beloved Flor

The Pagador clan, as in the past years, was represented by the parents of Brod Sonny Pagador, together with Brod Flor's siblings, in-laws, nephews and nieces. Cielly, the loving wife of our dearly beloved Brod Flor, also graced the occasion.

The brods had a post-event salo-salo held at the newly opened Filipino bar & restaurant called Noypitz, also located in Glendale.

To all who participated in the event and to all the generous donors - we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude!

Till next year!!
