Hallelujah for two Betan Pastors!!

Rod Reyes UPD'71D & Paul Chua UPD'73A

May God keep blessing (the members) and (their respective families)! Prayer works. I consider our fraternity as body of Christ. Pastor Paul Chua and myself as you know are serving the Lord through our church - Church for the Nations in California located in West Covina. Pastor Paul heads our church group in Makati. Please check our website - church 4nations.com. Last March 7, Pastor Paul shared in our church about "Guarding our Hearts" and the congregation prayed over him to have miraculous healing from prostate cancer. Since our church received the news about Brod Dopoy and Brod Bong, we have been continuously praying for them for healing to our Great Healer. We also keep Brod Rolly Aquino in our daily prayers because of his kidney failure.

I attached a panoramic picture after Pastor Paul shared in our church. Is it possible to put this in our web site so our brothers can also pray privately and corporately for healing? - Brod Rod Reyes (Frat brother 71-D and brother in Christ)

Web notes:

  1. In case you didn't know, Rod is the younger brother of former RP Usec and current UPBSF, Inc. VP Rolly'66.

  2. Paul has rented a house with his family in San Bernardino near Loma Linda University Hospital Medical Center where he is undergoing

proton treatment for his prostate condition which was diagnosed in the Philippines. Instead of surgery, he decided to avail of the new,

cutting-edge technology in medical science at the leading pioneer hospital. He expects to reside in the US till June-July. In college, he

was a member of the UP Varsity soccer team. After, Paul has set up a highly successful business operation in Indonesia and RP.

Brod Paul,

Greetings...

How is your treatment coming along??? And how are you holding up??? I hope and pray that all is well... Brod, some of the brothers (Rolly Balingit, Edsel Arceo, Art Martin, myself, et al. among others) would like to drop by this April 3 Sunday afternoon to visit with you and catch up. Para hindi ka na ma-abala, we will bring with us already marinated meats, soda, salad, and everything else for a nice lazy afternoon bbq. If necessary, I will drop by there Saturday afternoon to check on your bbq grill and if needed go get the propane gas.

So, brod, is it ok for us to drop by your house this Sunday? Let us know. thanks.

Cheers,
Roy

Brod Roy,

So nice to hear from you :) Thank you for the concern and prayers.

By God's grace and mercy, my treatment is proceeding well.

My 10th session is scheduled later this afternoon. Sunday afternoon (April 3) will be great!

Beth and I will look forward to seeing you and Dinah, and the rest of the brods & their ex-girlfriends*. I've already managed to get the propane tank and will fire up the grill this week to check it out. I will be in touch.. usap tayo.. Have a great week.

Blessings.
Paul

*To clarify, "ex-girlfriends" is Paul's endearing way of calling wives - "dahil misis mo na". Ayos ba, mga ex-gfs namin? Hehe...

Brods Paul and Rod - true brothers in Christ

The group prayed for the brods and their families, especially for their health needs.

Believe it or not: Roy is overcome and falls on his knees after the group's healing prayer.

He says, "Na cramps lang ako". Wife Dinah, the kids and everyone get a good laugh.

Gina, Rod's wife (seated 3rd from left) and Beth, Paul's wife (seated 2nd from right) are both pastors also.

Remarkable! A "holy alliance", you might say.

** More Medical News from LA:

(1) Brod Mando Enrico had a very successful surgery April 4, Monday, at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Anaheim, California. The spinal column operation was particularly long - about 8 hours. The neurosurgeon, Dr. Tina Lin, explained that she had to fuse C3 and C4 to C5, C6 and C7 from a previous operation 2 years ago (which she also performed) and hold them all together with a new and longer titanium steel plate. Mando may be released from the hospital by April 7, Thursday.

All the brods and wives pray and wish Brod Mando a speedy recovery and good cheers to Rexie and sons Scott and Mark. As Brod Pastor Rod advises, "Prayer works".

Web note: No, C3-C5 in this case are not the circumferential expressways in Manila. For the benefit of many of us who do not

have any medical background or did not take Human Anatomy 101, please refer to the vertebra diagram below.

(2) Also, Jean, wife of Dr. Angie Ouano'63, MD, DMD, is having thyroid surgery at Harbor Medical Center in Torrance, CA on April 7. Again, our prayers and wishes to Jean for a quick recovery.
