1) Something I can really be proud of was our immediate response to the calamity that struck our country. The day right after typhoon Ondoy struck, the brods met and decided to float donation boxes all over the campus. We collected about 20 tetra pack boxes and fashioned them into donation boxes which we posted in campus offices; each brod even brought a box to their classes so we could collect directly from our classmates. I am really proud to say that during this time of dire need, we were the only fraternity who responded.

(2) The month was truly a test of character, saktong natapat pa sa Chapter anniversary namin yung time na naminsala si Ondoy and Pepeng, so we really didn't want to have an extravagant celebration. Everyone was in grief so we didn't want to really celebrate for us to show our sympathy to the victims. Pero despite that feeling, we didn't want the anniversary plans to go away so after much thought and deliberation, we decided na instead of the usual pakain sa campus which was the chapter's tradition, gumawa kami ng scheme wherein people can eat lunch through giving a 10 peso donation (we called it the BETAN LIFESAVER MEAL ha ha ha). This way, we still had the essence of the pakain celebration and naka-tulong pa kami sa fund-raising for the Ondoy victims. And most of all, na-involve namin ang mga estudyante sa pagbibigay ng tulong in a way na nag-benefit din sila. Truly, it was an ingenious plan that showed the Betan's heart for service. Pina-sara namin yung isang canteen sa campus as our venue. We also gave out cards, thanking the students for their donations and explaining to them why we had this kind of activity. A copy of the card is also attached here.

(1) We were called in to be a part of the AKO MISMO EARTHSAVER event, an event also promoting youth participation in the elections and environmental awareness. For the event, we planted trees and attended forums on climate change.

 (2) Here are the pictures of the the AKO ANG SIMULA event with ABS-CBN. It was the first of our projects that promote youth involvement in the upcoming elections. It was a really successful event and the fraternity was well-promoted by the media. We underwent a series of interviews during ABS-CBN Northern Luzon's morning talk shows and two episodes of the Regional TV Patrol featured our activity. One even featured a long segment which was set in campus with our fraternity's seal as the background. The project really benefited us, we made our parents really proud as they saw on TV what we were doing. The event started early in the morning.  We started by an early visit to the studio for a quick final promotion of the event. Then we proceeded with a parade going to the first leg of the day's plan of activities - tree planting. We planted trees along a highway in Baguio, covered over a mile long stretch and were able to plant more than 500 trees. After that we proceeded to the university for the registration of the Boto Mo Ipatrol Mo program of the ABS-CBN. 500 registrants came and we were more than happy to accomodate them especially the ladies, he he. Later that day, we also held a small concert which featured UP bands; this was also the segment wherein we asked the different political parties in UPB to give some words with regard to our advocacy. To top things off, and one of the most heart-warming parts of the event, was that it was a benefit/charity event for a little girl who had cerebral problems. Thankfully, we were able to collect a fair amount which her mom said was enough to cover a month's worth of medical check-ups. Truly, seeing the joy in the mom's eyes was something we couldn't forget.

(1) It has been the tradition of the brods to celebrate the national anniversary by giving out cakes to the administration and the faculty. Attached are pictures of the activity and our simple celebration later that evening. The feedback of this activity is very positive. Nagiging mabait sa brods yung mga librarian na masungit kapag humihiram kami ng mga libro. He, he, he.

 (2) The month of July was also the month for the UPB Salakniban/Org Fun Day, a campus activity wherein organizations introduce themselves to the freshmen through visual displays. Attached are the pictures of our preparations and the brochure we made for the freshmen. Also, we were a sponsor of the said activity.

 (3) The campus also held the Freshmen Consolidation Night, it is UPB's formal welcome to the freshmen. Different organizations adopt freshmen blocs and instantly become the bloc's ates and kuyas throughout the event. Throughout the years it has been the 'payabangan' of the blocs so to outshine the other blocs, we and the Sigma Betans provided our bloc with balloons.

(4) Attached also are some pictures of our Induction Rites held last July 12, 2009.

(5) We also sponsored the awards for Pasocialan Event-series of competitions and forums, of the College of Social Sciences.
