Fireworks Display in UPB's Pasiklaban Event

The UP Baguio Beta Sigma Fraternity once again sponsored the Fireworks Display in Pasiklaban last December 17, 2010. The fraternity has been a major sponsor of the said event since the time it was first held years ago.

The UP Baguio's Pasiklaban 2010 was designed to give not only UP Baguio community but also other visiting people a big and festive culmination party for the year. This year-end celebration comprised different activities such as lantern parade in Session Road, presentations from different college faculty, and student band performances on the latter part of the event. As a major sponsor, the UP Baguio Beta Sigma Fraternity responded to the request of the UPB Student Council, which was the main event organizer by yet again providing the fireworks.

 

On the first part of Pasiklaban 2010, the UP Baguio, students, members of faculty, administrators, and alumni, marched along Session Road and went back again to the campus for the program. After the opening ceremony and performances, the crowd witnessed the fraternity's fireworks display, which served as one of the highlights of this culmination party.

The resident Brods were the ones who administered this certain portion of the Pasiklaban 2010 program. We set up the boxes of fireworks in the campus' parking lot and the Brods were also the ones who lit up such pyrotechnics. Moreover, a resident member stood in front of the crowd before the fireworks display and delivered the message of our beloved fraternity to the UPB community–wishing them to have a joyful Christmas and a peaceful new year.

The fireworks display was a more than four minutes of spectacular pyrotechnics that made the gathering so festive and joyful.

After the UP Baguio Beta Sigma Fraternity Fireworks Display, the resident members along with some alumni brothers went to a bistro bar to celebrate not only the fraternity's successful fireworks display but also for the thriving accomplishments of our beloved Fraternity for the year 2010.

The resident brothers of UP Baguio Beta Sigma Fraternity would like to extend our utmost gratitude to the UP Baguio Beta Sigma Fraternity alumni, UPBSF, Inc., UPBSF-International, Inc. and UPBSF NorCal through Brod Tatang Vergara, Brod Rolly Reyes, and Brod Willie Nepomuceno.
