            Attendance: 35 residents

 

 

 

  1. The Seminar – Workshop had the following objectives: 

 

    1. To inculcate the proper mindset and work-ethic required for effective recruitment and roster strengthening in today’s difficult environment.

 

    1. To identify and assimilate recruitment techniques and tactics, answers to frequently asked questions, and dos and don’ts.

 

    1. To identify a clear image for the Fraternity membership and the profiles of potential recruits to make the desired image come to fruition.

 

    1. To map out long term plans and immediate recruitment opportunities, individual commitments, targets and timetables.

 

    1. To be able to link recruitment activities seamlessly with initiation activities.

 

 

 

  1. Seminar Workshop Activities

 

    1. Session 1 had lectures and presentations by Rafael Hidalgo ’86 and Ron Justo ’88, as recruitment experts (the two combined are directly responsible for recruiting over 30 new brods into the Fraternity as residents in the late 80s and 90s).  Also, workshop assignments were given to the residents The scope was:

    1. Session 2 was an interactive workshop session and presentation by the residents.  An alumni panel reviewed presentations of different recruitment teams, their targets and timetables.

    1. All objectives were met, in the opinion of both the resident body and the alumni present.

 

    1. Under OBBF supervision, and within 15 days of commencement of recruitment activities, and one week after completion of the seminar, 9 Neophytes were presented.  Tomorrow, the remaining 6 members of batch 2009-B will undergo their FINALS and if all goes well, will increase the resident roster by 17%.
