OBBF Appoints Lloyd Dizon'87 as President

The Operation Big Brother Foundation, Inc appointed Lloyd Dizon ’87 as its President last December 4, 2010 at its Board of Trustees Meeting held at the UP Executive House.

Lloyd has held various positions in the OBBF and is a founding Trustee of the Foundation. Lloyd also served on the Board of Directors of the UP Beta Sigma Fraternity Alumni Association Inc in the previous term of ’08-’10. As a resident, Lloyd was 1st Vice Grand Princep in 1993 when the Fraternity had its strongest numbers (80 brods) in past 3 decades.

He is currently the Business Development Manager of Koldstor, a recognized leader and first state-of-the-art enterprise in the frozen logistics industry. He is also an owner of the trendy Aruba Restaurant at Metrowalk Ortigas Center.

During the OBBF Trustees meeting, he stressed the OBBF’s must have a stronger core of brods committed to serve the Fraternity selflessly and without need of pomp and recognition. His stated that his thrust was not to expand the ranks of the OBBF but to get more dedication out of its current membership. He hoped to continue the extensive work done under his predecessor’s term in filling the vacuums that resident and alumni programs have not yet sufficiently addressed.

He succeeded Jason Justo ’92 who ended his four year stewardship of the OBBF. At the meeting, Jason’s term was recognized as the most productive years of the Foundation to date for the numerous activities that focused on recruitment, martial arts, financing, strengthening camaraderie and family ties, fund-raising and charitable work.

Also, resolved unanimously at the meeting was the appointment of Pete Danao ’92 to the OBBF Board of Trustees. OBBF Trustees, who serve as lifetime members of its Board, welcomed Pete who is one of the most reliable and hard-working brods that has contributed to the Foundation.
