My Brothers and Sisters in the Beta Sigma Circle,

I wish to thank everybody who gave me birthday well-wishes personally, by e-mail or by a telephone call. And I truly appreciate the show of affection tendered by brods who came all the way from LA  (Noy B, Ivy, Ago, Eva, Ed R, Frank Ma, Norman, Boi W and Danny G), drove from the Sacramento and Vallejo Area (Bong and Eileen, Boy R  and Irma, Wille V and Tess, Mino and Leah, Cecilio and Anita, Yay and  Jean and kids, Kiko D) and those from the Bay Area and Salinas  (Winston, Dave and Mercy, Eric and Lita, Ding and Julie, Ike and  Tanya, Ting and Cheng, Cyrus, Gabby and Cy, Frank Mo and Tess, Ric V,  Manolo, Gene, Vee, Ernie T, Gerry and Lleva, Bobby P, Babes and  MayAnn). I hope everybody enjoyed the sunny and cool weather we had  that day, the good food cooked by my loving wife May and her brother  Ennar and his wife Cecille and the various other dishes and goodies  brought by each of you, the later music provided at Ike's place by Kiko, Ike, Babes and MayAnn joined in by Cheng and Eva. Sorry brod, no hilarious surprises this time! I can only bow my head in  acknowledgment of all your kindness.

I am truly blessed to have such a loving and caring circle, that  living through my life-threatening illness is a blast! I am now  convinced the diagnosis was a blessing in disguise. May we all continue to enjoy good health and good cheer as we all age graciously (I wish) together. I join you in praying that those with ailment in  our circle will be gifted with wellness, and that those who are hale and healthy remain to be so.
