Beta Sigma Fraternity 68th Founding Anniversary Celebration at Davao City Max Echevarria, UPMin 11A Exemplar 2nd Vice Grand Princep
In celebration of the 68th founding anniversary of our beloved fraternity, a fellowship dinner was held at Dampa Seafood Restaurant, Tionko Avenue, Davao City last July 12, 2014. Spearheaded by the resident members of UM and UP Mindanao, the celebration night was well represented from different regions and chapters based on Davao City. Brods and sisses, residents and alumni, from all over Davao were invited and reached to approximately 50 people in attendance, exceeding the expectation.
Since last year’s celebration was not unified, the event was conceptualized with the goal of uniting brods in Davao City, strengthening the ties of the alumni and resident brods in Davao. On one story brod Sam Strong shared in the event about a time he was reunited with fraternity brothers on a brod’s wake, one once told him, “Brod, magkikita na lang ba tayo kung may patay?”

Light-hearted conversations over beer.
Buffet food, free-flowing beer, souvenir shirts, live music, and smiles filled the night ensuring everyone had a great time. The brods begun to talk about plans and events, Ultimately, the goal was reached. This event may be the start of something big for the Davao brods: maybe perhaps rebuilding the Beta Sigma Davao Assembly.
