UPLB University-Wide Mosquito Misting

The UP Beta Sigma Fraternity,Inc.(Central), Beta Sigma Fraternity Alumni
Assoc-Manila South Assembly, Inc. c/o Brod Pres. Atty Val Guzman, UPLBBSFAA and
the Batangas Assembly once again supported the University-Wide Mosquito Misting
in UPLB. This was conducted on Aug. 28, 2023 (National Heroes Day no less) and
just in time for the start of the next semester.
This is one of our regular community service activities together with Dr.
Roberto P. Cereno, the UPLB Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs, Dr.Sheryl
A.Yap, the Director of the Institute of Weed Science Entomology & Plant
Pathology (IWEP) and pest management partners such as Orsus c/o Brod Nick Angel,
‘83 UPLB.
This proactive action aims to prevent outbreaks and to reduce Aedes aegypti
dengue mosquito populations in the University in order to protect its
constituents. The operation covered areas in both the Upper and Lower Campus.
This activity was well attended by Resident GP Dave Martinez and 10 Residents.
