What: Discussed Fraternity Recruitment
initiatives where Brod Mon Paje reminded us of a defining truth: our founders
were scholars who built UP Beta Sigma by recruiting scholars - and it is by
returning to this principle that we secure our future as a fraternity of
intellect, discipline, and national relevance. Brod Tony Panajon suggested that
each batch commit to support one scholar. This will now be suggested to the
leadership of Central where Brod Jason Justo is current President.
Why: Aligned with this principle, the ₱400
million pledge of Brod Mag Albaraccin was positioned to support a modernized
recruitment strategy. With free tuition at the University of the Philippines,
the focus shifts from tuition-based scholarships to providing meaningful support
for students’ daily needs enabling qualified scholars to sustain their studies
and fully participate in academic life.
