From Peter Danao: Official Statement of UP Beta Sigma Fraternity (Central) on the murder of Felix Randy Malayao:

The UP Beta Sigma Fraternity mourns the death of one of its incumbent trustees, Brod Felix Randy Malayao.

An activist and peace advocate, brod Randy has always been soft spoken but determined in his passion to bring about lasting peace in our country.

We condemn the violent and treacherous way of his killing. We enjoin our law enforcement agencies to exert all means to capture the persons behind this dastardly act.

While we join the call for a swift justice to his death, we also hope that his death will serve as the catalyst for his advocacy of peace in our country.

In behalf of the UP Beta Sigma International, we mourn the untimely demise of our dearly beloved brother - Randy Felix Malayao.

Brod Randy was a peace consultant for the National Democratic Front of the Philippines and throughout his shortened life - he was the ultimate model and quintessential social activist.

He was not only a noble Betan but truly a righteous, uncorrupted, honorable and self-sacrificing human being.

We join all the Brods (around the world) in condemning this dastardly and cowardly act inflicted to our beloved Brother.

We are not only greatly saddened but we are also terribly angered by this tragic incident. Let us all light a candle in our hearts and may the untimely passing of Brod Randy trigger our indignation for justice.

Brod Randy Felix Malayao was a true, benevolent and noble Beta Sigman... and died a hero!

May your soul Rest In Eternal Peace, our Beloved Brother.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT OF THE UP BETA SIGMA FRATERNITY - UP VISAYAS CHAPTER WITH REGARDS TO THE UNJUST, COWARDLY, AND TREACHEROUS MURDER OF ONE OF ITS ALUMNI, BROD RANDY FELIX MALAYAO
JUSTICE FOR RANDY MALAYAO, UP VISAYAS BETA SIGMA FRATERNITY ALUMNUS, NDFP PEACE CONSULTANT.

Mariing kinokondena ng UP Visayas Beta Sigma Fraternity ang pagpaslang sa aming Kapatid na si Randy Felix P. Malayao.

Traydor, brutal, at duwag ang gumawa ng karumaldumal na krimeng ito. Ayon sa ulat, natutulog si Brod Randy sa loob ng nakaparadang bus sa Nueva Vizcaya nang walang pakundangang binaril ng dalawang armadong kriminal.

Walang pagsidlan ang galit at lungkot na nadarama ng buong kasapian ng Kapatirang Beta Sigma sa UP Visayas-Miagao. Kinitil ng mga berdugo ang buhay ng isang taong walang hinangad kundi ang pagkakaroon ng kapayapaan at kaunlaran sa bansang Pilipinas.

Pinakamataas na pagpupugay at saludo ang iginagawad ng Kapatirang Beta Sigma sa buhay na inilaan ni Brod Randy para sa sambayanang Pilipino. Pinagpupugayan din ng Kapatiran ang kaniyang walang pag-iimbot at tapat na paglilingkod sa Beta Sigma Fraternity.

Si Brod Randy Felix P. Malayao ay isa sa mga tagapagtatag ng Beta Sigma sa Unibersidad ng Pilipinas sa Visayas. Naging huwaran siyang Kapatid at buong loob na isinabuhay ang diwa ng Kapatiran na maglingkod sa Diyos, sa Bayan, sa Unibersidad, sa Pamilya, at sa Kapatiran.

Ipinagluluksa natin ang pagkamatay ni Brod Randy sa kamay ng mga duwag at berdugong kriminal. Subalit huwag nating hayaang manaig ang takot sa gitna ng kadiliman.

Ipinapangako ng Kapatirang Beta Sigma na gagamitin nito ang lahat ng rekurso at paraan upang mapanagot ang may kagagawan sa karumaldumal na krimeng ito. Ipinapanawagan namin ang kagyat at malayang imbestigasyon sa nangyari upang makamit ang hustisya.

Mananatiling buhay ang iyong alaala at diwa, Kapatid na Randy. Mananaig ang Katarungan!

It is with deep sadness and regret to be the bearer of such horrible news. Our brod, Randy Felix Malayao, UPV '89 was murdered in cold blood by still unknown assailants.

In behalf of the Southern California brods, we strongly condemn this treacherous act, in no uncertain terms. Clearly, this is a crime against humanity and we should never ever condone this.

Rest in Peace, Beloved Brother. Randy, we assure you that your death will not be the end of this. Rather, it signifies a beginning.
