Young Betan MD thanks the Fraternity

Brod Feg Alastra is from UPD Batch 2006B. Like his batch mate Miks Paredes, Feg is a licensed physical therapist who graduated from UP Manila-PGH. Through his God-given talent and headstrong determination to become an MD, he completed his medical studies at UERM by working part-time as a PT while going to school. Through the generosity of some fraternity brods, among others, Feg has fulfilled his dream. He is now a field physician in Tagum, Davao and is receiving recognition awards for his work. He has given back to the fraternity by participating and sharing his medical skills in the annual Tito de Santos Community Service Program sponsored by the UP SoCal Chapter in Barangay UP Campus.
Below are email exchanges and Viber chats from Brods Ollie, Feg and Jojo. I thought this remarkable "success story" of Brod Dr. Feg Alastra should not be limited only to a chat group but should be recorded and made known to everyone in the Betan community.

Good day Brother (Brandy)!
This is Brod Ferguz Alastra Batch 2006B UP Diliman. I was one of the recipients of your generous and kind heart. Brod Ollie Jumao-as texted me earlier and told me that you were thinking and was asking about me. I am currently here in our province in Tagum City, Davao del Norte. I decided to come home here because I was having a hard time surviving in Manila without any income. I just finished my Post-Graduate Internship in UERM last May and I'm currently preparing for the board exam this coming September. Please include me in your prayers.
Thank you very much again brod for the help and support you and the other brods have given to me. Thank you for helping me fulfill my dream of becoming a doctor. Finishing Med School would be harder without the support of the brods and the fraternity. Please continue to back me up with prayers so that I may finally become a full pledge Physician after taking the board exam this September.
I am currently contemplating also to look for a job while preparing for the boards, as I need to have some sort of income to help my family, and I don't want to be much of a burden to my family.
I'm planning to go into Surgical training after passing the boards. I'm still praying and asking God for His guidance. I'm considering Orthopaedic or Neurosurgery, but wherever the Lord leads me there I shall prosper. There are also some offers for me to go to the States but right now I don't have the resources yet. I'm still praying about it also.
Please extend my regards and gratitude to the other brods who served as a channel of God's blessings for me and my family.

Greetings brod!
First of all I would like to apologize for the long silence.
I am now a licensed Physician, thanks to you and the generous brods. I am currently working as a field physician, Medical Officer IV of the City Health Office here in Tagum City, Davao del Norte. I am the Program Head of one of the health programs of our city. It is a Community Based Rehabilitation Program for Persons with Disabilities. I would just like to share that I and my teammates in the program have recently been awarded in the Provincial level the "DavNor Golden Excellence Award" and will receive another award in the Regional level, the "Region 11 Civil Service Pag-asa Award" this September.
This is just to give an update on where the support of the Fraternity in the past has helped me reach these milestones. Again, thank you very much brod! Cheers!!
Additional good news. I just got the news. I tried bidding for a National Award. And we are on the Top 20 of the Galing Pook Awards. Will be in Manila on October 11 to defend my program. Will send pictures soon. Thank you brod.
