It is always sad to learn about the passing of someone of national prominence with such a wholesome personality like NORA DAZA. She is also known in other countries for her culinary skills.

I was lucky enough to talk to her once upon a time, in 1969. That was when I had to ask permission for Mariles, her daughter, to be our Frat Sweetheart. Sandy wasn't a Brod yet at the time.

Our deepest sympathy to her loved ones whom she left behind. May she rest in peace with her Maker.

The passing away of a Legend, a Culinary Expert and Icon NORA DAZA, is a big loss in the field of Culinary in the Philippines and abroad. NORA DAZA is known for her pioneering work in Culinary and also her entrepreneurial drive in establishing restaurants in the Philippines and abroad like in Paris and other big cities of the world.

My personal encounter with Nora DAZA was when I was handling the Culinary Business of Nestlé. She provided us with good advise and recipes which we have put to good use in the Nestle Culinary Kitchen, in our Product Labels and in connecting with our consumers.

My deepest sympathy to her family and to Brod Sandy Daza who was able to continue the Nora DAZA name and skills in the field of Culinary.

May God Bless Nora DAZA and her family!

This is for Brod Sandy Daza. Coring and I and our family send our sympathies to you and the family on the passing away of  Nora, a very good, kind friend who took care of our own brother Teddy for over a year. Teddy departed last March and Nora and Tessie Daza arranged a mass for him. We will join your clan tomorrow.

I join the fraternity in mourning the demise of Brod Sandy's mother, Nora Daza. I remember her quite well. I used to frequent her French restaurant in Ermita, Au Bon Vivant, when I was dating a girl who eventually became my wife.

I also ate twice in her restaurant in Paris, Aux Iles Philippines. I had hoped but failed to see a famous fan of the restaurant -- Brigitte Bardot, who I heard liked our sinigang and lumpia.

With her death, we have lost a Filipino who could truly be called "a citizen of the world".
