Let us vote for our beloved "Four" !!!
===================================================================================================
**UPDATE:
The UPAA election
is over. Surprisingly, a Sigma Beta sis and 2 Beta Sigma brods topped
the vote count (see attached official canvas). Sis Santanina Razul came
in No. 1, Brod Vic Valdepenas No. 2 and yours truly came in No. 3 out of
23 seats contested. How did this happen when the proxies are controlled
by the "other side"? Actually, the three of us were part of the Unity
Ticket. Brod Vic and I took two of the 5 vacant slots based on the
principle of equity of the encumbent. All incumbents ran for reelection
except Brod Ruben Pascual. Sis Santanina took the slot of Brod Ruben.
Through Nelia Gonzales we negotiated to be included in the Unity Ticket,
Initially, only Brod Vic and I were included. All 3 of us were
unopposed. Brod Jimmy Yambao ran as an independent and did not get the
benefit of the votes of the Unity Ticket. While Brod Vic and I were
unopposed we still obtained proxy votes primarily to support the
candidacy of Brod Jimmy. But I think that we moved a little bit too
late. In the Union Bank for example, Brod Vic had over 100 UP grads but
only about 30 proxies were obtained. The Frat also did its part but we
were not able to get enough proxies. June 12, 2012

BRODS,
This is to inform everyone that we four distinguished candidates for the coming UPAA election this coming May 28 (voting deadline).
We have: Brods Vic Valdepenas, Orly Sacay and Sigma Betan Santanina Rasul (former senator). They are included in the "Unity Ticket" with other fraternities and UP orgs.
We also have Brod Ambassador Jaime Yambao running as "independent" representing UP Diliman.
We request all brods to touch base with their local UPAA chapters and secure ballots that are now available and of course campaign and vote for our candidates. Let us ask our alumni friends to spread the word and our appeal for support.
We need extra push for our beloved Brod Jimmy Yambao since he is running as independent. Brods Gabby Moraleda and Cecilio Felix are current president of UPAA Sanfo and UPAA Sacramento and they will be invaluable in getting additional information concerning the forthcoming UPAA election.
UPBSF Incorporated (Central) are tapping ALL brods in the UP system to reach out to all UP alumni in 15 regions. We also asked the help of President Tumaru of the Beta Sigma National Assembly to do the same. As for those brods serving the PH government, all brods serving in the cabinet line agencies and LGUs (governors and mayors) are enjoined to help disseminate the effort.
Very important support needed from Brod presidents Brandy Ancheta, Rene de Rueda, Mayor Tumaru, Brods Sonny Pagador and Bart Gacad, GPs Aman Carolino and Gerry Abenes
23 will be elected to UPAA - let us vote for our beloved "Four"!!! Jimmy Yambao Vic Valdepeņas Orly Sacay Santanina Rasul.
