Tabets at the University Hotel

We hosted Master Brod Noli Nolasco, founder of Black Secrets, who's on a quick visit to PHL at the University Hotel, Diliman campus, Quezon City. We were joined later with a surprised balikbayan guest Prof. Joe Lalas, a respected member of the faculty of the University of Redlands. We were expecting Master Brod Jopet Laraya as well but he had to meet members of his family in Quezon City. He was supposed to join another fellowship hosted by OBBF brods as guest of the SOMA Center later in the evening. As expected, the hotel's coffee shop was commandeered by the legendary and traditional UP Betan guffaws and high spirited clinking of ice cold SanMig light bottles over lechon kawali, spicy calamare, grilled liempo and chopsuey as pulutans. Resident brods who attended were AJ Guanzon, Doms Contrata, Danilo Si, Charles Agulto, EDJ del Rosario, Kiko Yuson, Errol Topacio, Charles Co and Patrick Funa. Among the "not-so-old" alumni brods who attended were Brod President Rene de Rueda, Freddie Fajardo, Julius Cada, Henry Gutierrez, Roy Lising, Dante Agulto, Oca Mamangon, Ollie Jumao-as, Gilbert Joven; later joined by Brods Chax Baldoria, Manny Balangue, Walter Navarro and Sandy Daza (not in the photos).
