Betans Win in Alabang GC Mango Tee Golf Tournament by Gilbert Joven
The 27th Mango Tee Golf
Tournament is the premier 6-day golf tournament of Alabang Country Club
attended by over 700 avid golfers in the country. The tandem of Brods
Gilbert Joven'66 UPD and Julius Cada'69 UPD won the Class B Champion
Award, with an aggregate score of 151 points for 2-days of playing. Each
winner received a large trophy and a GC of 5000 pesos. Big raffle prizes
like a car, golf cart, 5 P100,000 cash, LCD tvs and many more were given
out during the awards night. Brod Willie Nepomuceno entertained the
golfers and brought the house down with his impersonation of President P-Noy
and past presidents Marcos, Fidel Ramos (who was present), comedian Dolphy
and Kermit the Frog. The other Betans who played and were in the awards
night were Brods Melchor Rosales'62 UPD and Tony Panajon'67 UPD.
