UP Diliman Black Saints Celebrate 46th

Dearest Kabatches,

Just a quick recap of our 46th anniversary celebration at the Podium.
Present in order of arrival: Pol, Ricky, Ollie, Lito, Mon V, Gammy, Larry, Chax, and Charles with wife and daughter.
Jun Leyco was not physically strong enough to make it. Mon Dagger had arthritis and had to attend a dear cousin's burial.

We had a great time bonding, laughing, chatting.

Charles' gift to each of the attendees was a stone with gold dust embedded (from Philex mines).
Norman's gift was $50 worth of lunch and drinks at our favorite Japanese restaurant; the balance of the $100 he sent thru Riza Baldoria will go to Jun Leyco. Thank you Norman kabatch.

Charles recalled his initiation/"ouch" days. (Instead of "Aray!", when hit during initiation Charles would cry "Ouch!" or "Heavens!"). His first session was moved because he had to swim for UP Varsity in the UAAP. He underwent a special session plus a "kidnap" bonus session from Emil Covacha, Joey Tolentino and Gilbert Dulay -- the terrors of '64, and Manny Cajigal'63.

After lunch, we went two levels down to Figaro for coffee. Charles let out his bags of jokes. He is now qualified to be a tambayan jokester. Ricky "gifted" Charles with a frat pin. At that time Charles' wife Linda and daughter had arrived to fetch him. Linda put the pin on his lapel; they had a light kiss afterwards, yehey. My Sigma Betan wife Melot arrived soon after.  No pin, kiss na lang.

We broke up at about 3pm. It was truly a day to remember. We missed you all.
