Annual trip to CDO City with the Brodsby Rey Bello
Dear Brods,
Hi again! Please find attached photos of our recent trip to the fine southern city of Cagayan de Oro last Aug. 02 to 06, 2012. Brods led by Brod Ben Abon have been making the journey for the last 6 yrs., I was told. It was my first time to join the trip.
Brods Ben A., Bing Joven, George Balabag, Ollie Jumao-as and I took the 1st Cebu Pac Air flight to CDO on Aug. 2nd. We were met at the airport by Brods Hec San Juan and Nilo Punzalan, who was visiting his son and family. Later on, we met Brods Buboy Tenazas, Vic Pizarro and Ben Albarece. It was an unforgettable 5-day adventure.
The next day, we went river rafting and swimming on the beautiful Cagayan de Oro River and had dinner on the famous night street cafe. We had mud crabs and sugpo for pulutan and went off-roading and ziplining in Dimalayan, Bukidnon. We also visited the farms of Hec and Ben near the foothills of Mt. Kitanlad, Bukidnon. We flew back in to Manila on the night of Aug. 6th very unluckily coz we caught up with the non-stop habagat rains which flooded the city and nearby places. An exciting experience indeed! Can't wait for the next trip come 2013! Cheers!
