Farewell, Sis Myrna by Freddy Fajardo'64, 7-13-2008
Sis Myrna Belarmino, UPLB Sigma Beta, Batch 1956, passed away last
July 10 due to cardiac arrest. Living alone in her home in Villa de
Calamba Subdivision, she was found dead on July 12. Her wake lies at
the Rizal Memorial Homes in Barangay Lecheria, Calamba City. The
Sigma Betans will have their Last Rites for Sis Myrna on July 15 at 7:30
PM. Interment is on July 16 at 2:00 PM. She just celebrated
her 70th birthday last July 2. Already retired, she was still
teaching at the Calamba City College. Until the time of her death,
she was a professor in Math at the Institute of Math Science and Physics,
UPLB. She was the former College Secretary of the College of Arts
and Sciences and former Vice Chancellor for Finance, UP Open University.
