Career of Manuel Labastilla  (From Jim Labastilla, sent by Freddy Fajardo)
- In 1971 upon graduation from UPLBCF, started career as supervisor in Alcantara and Sons Logging company in Davao City.
- In 1975 pirated by Heald Lumber Company, the logging division of Benguet Corporation as the Resident Manager for the Timber and Lime Division.
- In 1982 left Benguet Corp and worked with Ministry of Human Settlements on various government projects.
- Left Ministry of Human Settlements and tried venturing into own business, supplying vegetables from Ilocos and Benguet to Shakey’s and Jollibee (when Jollibee was no more than just a Food Truck)
- Joined Pagdanan Timber Products under the business tycoon, Jose Alvarez (current Palawan Gov), in 1988 and became the Executive Forester.
- In 1993 left Pagdanan Timber due to the total log ban in the Philippines. Went into own business, Labastilla Trading, supplying woodpoles and transformers to various electric cooperatives in the provinces.
- In 2003-2004 had to stop own business and assist in running private school of spouse, Sis Pittie (nee Felicitas Tucay, UPLB Sigma Beta'64), in Pangasinan.
- In 2014 after the passing of spouse, went back home to Bayugan, Agusan Sur and went into farming of rice, vegetables and cacao.

Brod Norman, will forward pictures where Brod Manny Labastilla+ was part of. He is the one who is bald. The ones with formal attire were taken during our 2016 fraternity (UPBSFI) ball and others during our "kumustahan" on June 2018 at Butuan City. Hope these pictures can add to a happy memory of Brod Manny.
