One of the most prominent Los Baños Beta Sigmans and well known during his era
as an agriculturist par excellent, he was a well known right hand man of the
newspaper magnate Hanz Menzi and oversaw the development of Menzi farm in
Mindanao.Whenever he was in Manila, he would see to it that he drop by UPLB to
visit the Brods. Grine will surely be missed. Rest peacefully Brod, you will
always be remembered.

Coming from another campus, I’ve never met and occasionally only heard of these
UP Los Baños Betan pioneers. Just looking at these vintage pictures of their
happy faces at the prime of their youth, I feel an instant bond and affection. A
lump on my throat and sadness in ny heart that they are gone. I don’t really
know how to describe it. But I think you know what I mean.

6am Phil Time of Cardiac Arrest and liver failure.

Brod Grine Griño was the chairman of the ExeCom during the 50th golden
anniversary in 2000 of the Los Baños chapter of the UP Beta Sigma Fraternity. He
organized the ManCom which implemented the plans and activities during the month
long activities of the celebration highlighted by the Loyalty Day parade and the
Balik Betan international homecoming.
