I remember Semper Fidelis ‘79b. There were 9 of them & initiated just after the start of the 1st semester ‘79-80. One Monday, maybe just a day after their Finals, we saw all around different places (Eng’g, CAS, Humanities, BioScience) sa LB campus, singular men with white tshirts with bold BETA SIGMA letters for all to see. All walking with limps but you could see the pride in their strides. “Ang yayabang ng mga ito ah,gulpi na eh kung maglakad palaban pa.” Gulat kaming mga nasa freshman blocks. Tony Revil was one of them & so was Ione Fasavalu, 5’10", 200 lb Samoan. They all would be leaders (Carlo Dimayuga, Carlo Capito, Ric Escobin, etc.) & two, Nilo Espino & Nugget Aquino would later become UPD GPs. I think their batch had so much an impact so that in 1979, 27 of us in total became LB Betans! Cheers!
