Relaying to the Brotherhood the passing of Brod ANTHONY “Sagpay” PUSAG of UP Aggie batch ‘70 “Protest” last Saturday, August 25, due to multiple organ failure. He had been undergoing dialysis.
He leaves behind his wife Fely and 2 kids. Wake is in Mayondon.
Please say a prayer for the soul of another fallen brother and for Sagpay’s grieving family.
And spread the word to brods from his generation.

No cheers

The origin of Sagpay was a conjugation of a name, rambol of letters, then the catastrophic “alyas “.
Sagpu was too elementary. The 70s stage plays gave birth to “Sagpay”Excellent stage acting and crisp line delivery was due to his wide mouth that most brods found almost like a squared toe shoes.
So the “Pu”became a “Pay” because when he says his alyas, he ends up with a wide grin showing his teeth with bigote on top. Try saying “Sagpay” and you’ll understand how his name became synonymous
to Beta Sigma stage plays. He was very active in frat and had lots of fun from under the Bastos Tree to elsewhere.

Rest In Peace Brother “Sagpay”.

Indeed, Sagpay was a unique Betan in many ways, loaded with talent, enthusiastic, courageous and unabashedly. aggressive in pursuing his ideas, opinions about the Frat or otherwise..
He will surely be missed especially by his contemporaries in UPLB. RIP Brother.

Agree with all that Rotsen said. There was only one "Sagpay". During our time, he was ever present almost every where - sa Coop tambayan, Villegas, Beehive, de Vera's (crossing), Raymundo's,
Gapud's, Bamboo Grove. Always with that unmistakable Sagpay grin. I'm proud to say he was my batch mate. As Rotsen eluded to, we were products of the 1970 and the culture of our society back
then, hence, our batch name, "Protest" and our batch song, "Our Day will Come". I enjoin all the brods especially those whose lives were touched by Anthony Pusag one way or another in expressing
our deep condolences to the Pusag family. May he rest in peace.
