It is with deep sadness to inform our dear brotherhood on the reported death of Brod Adolfo "Adong" Galam last October 19, 2017 at Cagayan de Oro City. His internment was last October 26, 2017. The information on this sad news was relayed by Brod Nanding Quililan, Uplb-forestry '66. Accordingly the cause of death was cardiac arrest. He was also suffering from the deadly C- cancer of the lungs.

Brod Adong Galam was a retired government official. He retired as a Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer (PENRO) of DENR in Mindanao where he served in various capacities with the then Bureau of Forestry (BF), Bureau of Forest Development (BFD) and finally with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), particularly in Northern Mindanao Region. His family is based in Cagayan de Oro City but he was originally from Solano, Nueva Vizcaya. Brod Adong was a die hard Beta Sigman, and a batchmate of Brod Rupert Somera, who also died early part of this month.

I am very sorry for this late posting as I received some relevant info on stages.

Let us pray for the eternal repose of Brod Adong's soul and for all the other brods who already joined their Creator.

Respectfully forwarding the following relevant information on our Brod Adolfo "Adong" Galam, uplb- forestry '57, as forwarded by her daughter- Ma. Jessa Galam Panday, FYI and reference.

It appears that there was discrepancy from the earlier emails I sent you in regards particularly on the cause/s of the death of Brod Adong Galam. My apologies for such seeming error as I relied solely from the secondary information from our common friend of Brod Adong from Cag de Oro City. On the last position in DENR of Brod Adong, I believed that he was designated as Assistant Regional Director of DENR but his last plantilla position was a Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer (PENRO). Please consider the information as provided for by her daughter Jessa, and as hereunder forwarded, as the official and true information on Brod Adong, FYI/ reference.
