A very sad news Kabatches!

Larry passed away yesterday due to heart attack, according to Rick T. Chax is now taking care of some arrangements for the wake. Of late, we were not fully aware of Larry's state of health. And for this, the news was rather shocking for all of us.
We'll give you more details soon as we get them.

Another sad day for the Fraternity. Per Chacs, Larry Tumaneng'65, Black Saints Batch, joined his Creator yesterday.

Sad day indeed, Brod Boi. :-(
After our campus days, Larry and I used to bump into each other at PLDT when I was a consultant at the Purchasing and Distribution Center there and he was a supplier.
God bless and rest in peace, Tol Larry.

This is so sad. Another Brod from the legendary Black Saints passes on.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Brod Larry, especially to our very own brod Humphrey

Of the 29 members of the Black Saints, those who went ahead are Larry Tumaneng, Edwin Moscoso, Jun Leyco and Gamy Manikan (from my own recollection only).

Brods,

In our batch reunion at the UP Beta Sigma 60th Jubilee in July 2006, we gathered at Gamy's.
Larry, Gamy and Jun were sitting together enjoying a laugh at stories over some spirits.
We will miss our departed kabatches on our Golden Anniversary in December.

Life is so short and precious, let us savor it and hug one another.

My deep condolences,
Norman, UPD'65 Black Saints

Got to know these Brods well- Larry and I were in the same PE class together in Diliman and we would play Bball with Sieg Guererro (a nice sigma Rhoan) every Wednesday. I car-pooled with Gamy almost daily - gave him lots of headaches when he was the GP. I would see Jun whenever I visited Teddy at QC Hall during Mathay's term.
And Edwin - he was my original sponsor and spent thrilling time together in Iloilo (when my parents exiled me there when Pi O tried to 'recruit' me).

sounds cheesy but we should make an effort to reconnect with one another - while we still can.

Cheers!

the tumaneng brothers were my neighbor. they were staying with their aunt and uncle who was a professor at mapua.
one time ikeng was taking me home and i saw larry on his way to somewhere and exclaimed "amuyong" ! right away iking step on the brake that i almost hit my head on the dashboard. to make the story short, binigyan ni iking ng betan love right in the middle of our street. buti na lang madilim ang kalye namin.

paalam kapatid till we meet again in some dark street.

Parang kahapon lamang.....brothers Bentot Sto. Domingo and Larry T. and I spent one afternoon in my kubo in Bgy. Bulac Sta Maria Bulacan. Si brod Larry cooked our pulutan.... few ulo ng baboy; he was a good cook and we had fun.... I am shocked and I feel sad upon learning of his passing.

To the family of brod Larry, please accept our (my wife's and family's) heartfelt condolences. We pray for the eternal repose of his soul.

Farewell Brod Larry, my UP Prep Batch'64 classmate and batch mate, my Yakal Dormitory mate, my Black Saints Batch '65 batch mate, and most of all my beloved Betan Brother. We had fun and "adventures" during our youthful days, too many to tell. I am very fortunate that I shared those moments, pranks and laughs with you. I only wish that we had more beyond campus life.

I grieve that you have left but find comfort that you are now in a better place, once again with your wife, and our Brods Gamy, Jun Leyco, Edwin and all the other brods and friends who have gone ahead.

Go in peace my dear Brod. May you rest in peace.

Cheers !!!

Its really sad to lose a Brod, more so if he was a batch mate who shared the hardships as a neophyte.
The last time I saw Larry was a couple of months ago, Feb- March, when our batch mates hosted a get together

for me at the Podium.
He was full of life and healthy. He surely will be missed by all of us.

Rest now my Brother, until we meet again in the " wild blue yonder ".
