Please find the text of brod Frankie Cornejo which I just received a while ago, fyi and reference:

A very sad news, indeed. I'm glad to have known Tony Lu, a very mild-mannered, gentle and unassuming brod and a truly die-hard Betan. Together with Brod Angie Angliongto, Tony Lu was my visitor in Rocklin way back in 2009 before the two went to join Brod Ernie Tremor at his Hercules home. It was indeed a great honor for me to know the man a bit closer.

May the good Lord keep him in His fold.

Brod Angie,

Kumusta na, brod? Isa-isa na tayong nalalagas. I hope you are in good health always.

Anyway, I talked to Brod Rene yesterday and this morning. He said that the funeral services of Brod Tony Lu will be in Cebu.

We lost a great one in Tony Lu. He was the founder of the Beta Sigma Fraternity in San Carlos University.

Let's all remember Tony in our prayers and offer our condolences to his spouse Connie and their children.

This is really a shocker and a reminder that we are only here for a short time. He was close to my uncles. Sad.

I am deeply saddened in the passing of Brod Tony Lu.He was, indeed, a good Betan in every sense of the word.He reached out to all generations of Betans and especially to the younger ones in a very natural way as Brod Vic Ramos put it.

He founded the University of San Carlos Beta Sigma Chapter in Cebu which has become one of the pillars of the Fraternity with products like Brods Polly Nazareno, Butch Machachor, Ed Goyaneche and Jinggoy Solon and he is especially endeared to all the brods and sis in the Visayas and Mindanao. He was always a most dependable and reliable supporter and host of a number of major events held in Cebu like the series of Beta Sigma International and National Conventions and UPLB reunions since a decade ago.(And of course, host of the more popular event among the brods, the "Bikini Contest").He was also a very consistent participant in many medical missions around the country.

I am honored to have hosted him one time in my home and I am very thankful for his great hospitality whenever I go to Cebu. He'd picked me up and send me off at the airport, bring me around Cebu, his resort by the sea, his factory at Compostela town. I will miss those early breakfasts and nights of fun and jug-a-lugs with him. He was always fun to be with and the brods were always comfortable with him. He was always ready for the next joke even if he was the target of humor and always ready to bring out that naughty giggle.

As successful as he was in his business, he remained a very humble, very unassuming person. I, certainly, will not forget that gentle and warm smile of Brod Tony.We will miss you badly but we know that you are in a better place now with our Creator... Farewell, dear Brother!

Indeed, a very sad news. Brod Tony Lu is a very approachable brod. A brod with an ever ready smile (and smiling eyes , too !). A brod always ready to help a brod and the fraternity, solicited or unsolicited. During my residence days, on numerous occasions, I have approached Brod Tony Lu, then the Animal Health Division Director of E.R Squibb & Sons Lab, to solicit medicines for our Free Medical Clinics projects and for Operation Big Brother. On all these occasions, he always gave generous contributions, which made our projects very successful.

When i was hired at E.R. Squibb pharma in 1988 , I used to hang out a lot in his office to socialize with him and Brod Danny Ticsay and Brod Tony Fajardo. One day, my immediate supervisor told me that Brod Tony Lu spoke to him and 'endorsed me' . Sabi ng boss ko ang bigat ng padrino ko sa company. Kaya pala sobrang bait bigla ng boss ko sa akin. I thanked Brod Tony for this and he said , "wala yun, brod. We are brothers, so we have to look after each other."

The last time i saw Brod Tony was 2 years ago. We had a chance meeting at SM Megamall. We only chatted for a few minutes as he was late for an appointment.

The fraternity has lost another great brod ! He will surely be missed.

Let us all pray for the eternal repose of his soul.

I am very shocked to receive this sad news. Tony was the most consistent volunteer (100 % attendance) in all the Medical & Dental Missions that the UP Beta Sigma Southern CA sponsored that I have participated in the past 7 years, including that very successful first medical mission that I co-chaired with our late Brod Tito De Santos held in Davao City last July 2006. Our well-known Brod Anggie Angliongto was our Chief Host of this inaugural event for this Mission held in Mindanao.

Brod Tony and Brod Albert Chiongbian co-hosted our 50th Golden Anniversary of the UPLB Batch '56 "Cream of the Crop" survivors which we held in Cebu City, as well as, in Panglao Bohol in February 2007. I shared hotel rooms with brod Tony during our stay at Panglao, Bohol, as well as, during medical missions in Mindanao.

Our heartfelt condolences to his family and may the good Lord takes care of him now that he has joined our Almighty.

We mourn the passing of Brod Tony Lu, one of the older brods who reached out naturally to younger ones like us. I remember our meetings in Paranaque whenever he texted that he was in town. May he find eternal joy with our Lord.
