Boy "tastes freedom" in Los Angeles with UP SoCal brods, Nov. ' 86

After Brod Boy's release from prison in 1986 following People Power that overthrew the 20-year Marcos regime, the LA brods got Boy a plane ticket for a well-deserved "R & R" in the U.S. Boy was hosted by Mando Enrico. A couple of get-togethers and jugalugs soon followed. I took these photos at Boi Wico's house in Baldwin Park with my Canon A1. These scanned images are now a living testimonial of how much we admired a highly principled public servant who remained true and steadfast in his beliefs and who sacrificed so much for his country and his people. -- NormB

A visit at Boy's PRRM office, Jan. '87

I owe my very short career in the government service to two departed UP Betan brods. After completing my MBA in Diliman and while waiting in '73 for my Canadian visa, Ding Navarro appointed me as asst. director for management services at RPC; then Boy, the Executive Director, asked me to stay on in the interim as accounting manager at the newly formed DAP. Always my gratitude and my respect to these two men of character, Ding and Boy, who untiringly worked for the public good.
