Dear Brothers,

I was able to see and congratulate our distinguished brother Dr. Teddy Topacio at the Palace yesterday. Also met his wife and our Brod Yay Topacio who flew in from Hawaii.  Please click the following links to see more of yesterday's event.     as one of the 100 Torch Bearers for the lighting of the Centennial Flame,

President Arroyo has conferred the rank and title of NATIONAL SCIENTIST to Brod Teodulo Masanga Topacio, Jr ,one of our founding brothers of the UP Beta Sigma Fraternity,for his pioneering efforts in expanding information on leptospiral disease of domesticated animals, which may provide the foundation for institutional control measures for these ailments.

Having been his student at UP College of Veterinary Medicine, after his graduate studies here, I was impressed by his pedagogic skills. He was warm to his students, emphatic and guided with a gentle hand.

 

How I wished there were 10 more Ted Topacio's then at our College. A shining star in his field of study and a man worthy of emulation, whatever one's calling in life is; indeed truly deserving the honor bestowed upon him by the motherland.
