Brods Raffy Hidalgo, Lem Michelena win Membership Campaign Contest

The contest just ended on November 30, 2008 and we have the following winners:

For a whole week at Cancun, Mexico    – Brod Raffy Hidalgo ’86, OBBF Chairman, and

For a weekend at Lake Tahoe, Nevada – Brod Lem Michelena ’75, Midwest Grand Princep 

Our generous donors are Brods Ike Araneta (First Prize: Cancun, Mexico) and Kiko Delmendo (Second Prize: Lake Tahoe). According to Ike, Raffy Hidalgo who hails from the Philippines, may be able to substitute his winning to a more suitable place. That will, of course, depend on the availabililty of the facility which Brod Raffy will choose as a substitute to Cancun.

The Membership Campaign has generated a total of 120 members – from a target of only 50 new members - since the campaign was launched last January 2008. Topping the list of new UPBSFI, Inc. members are the island of Luzon (46); followed by Canada(14); Florida (8); Australia (7); Southern California (7); Northern California (6); UP Mindanao, Philadelphia, Nevada and New Jersey (4 each); New York and Indiana (3 each); UP Visayas, Washington State and Illinois (2 each); and finally, Wisconsin, Oman, Michigan, Maryland and Hawaii (1 each).
