yesterday September 19 about Brod Vic Tupas' desire to withdraw his candidacy
for UP Los Banos.
My gratitude to all the brothers who in one way or another participated and or
helped get our elections come to a positive conclusion and perhaps we can look
forward to a busier two years ahead with the pandemic winding down.

It does seem that many UPBSI-member brods are not getting our emails or perhaps their email addies that we have is not current. I have no way of knowing.

Brothers Dear,
I have unilaterally decided (hope you don't mind) to move our elections about
two weeks to give the brods more time to pick their candidates/nominees for the
BOD positions in the UPBSI and for yours truly to verify/check if the nominees
are UPBSI members and paid up in terms of their membership fees.
I will be following up with the candidates list shortly and privately as much as
possible to remind and or encourage them to become a member if they are not yet
a member by simply paying up the membership fees for
2023 and 2024 (and likewise for members already but have not paid the
fees for 2022-2023).
I have cc'd the Treasurers since they will be at the receiving end in terms of
collecting the fees. The new timeline now looks like this:

does not suggest a limit to the number of nominees.
Needless to say, we need names for the xxxx. Nominations close at the end of day Wednesday August 31 North American CST.
Please note that our Election Rules require that all BODs (and for that matter,
nominees for the BOD positions) must pay the membership fees for 2022 and 2023
or at least promise to pay those fees if they haven't yet (500 pesos per year
for those in the Philippines and $15 per year for those living outside the
Philippines). Treasurers Brod Dennis Belmonte and Brod Roy Antonio, could you
please check or follow up with the brods named above re the fees.

A point of clarification brothers. The election call that I sent earlier refers
to the election of the 22 BODs, not the officers. BODs have no term
restrictions. Officers have (not more that 2 terms consecutive). The officers of
the UPBSI are the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, PRO and
Auditor.

Hello Brods,
Well, its been 2 years since the current set of officers we have in the UPBSI
took office and so we need to elect another set of officers (not necessarily new
since some are still qualified to run). Remember that our CBL allows for 2 terms
consecutive.
I have attached the pertinent documents guiding our elections. Hope you find
them in order.
Nominations for the 22 BOD positions begin tomorrow. Just in case you are
asking, we are following the North American CST, that is, Central Standard Time
because that is where I am. We are all in different time zones and in some cases
even a day behind or ahead. We will give allowance for that.
