1) Rock For Relief - Dec 5 Thu 8pm at Gulp Club

The UP Beta Sigma Fraternity brings to you Rock for Relief 2, the second Rock For Relief benefit concert to raise funds and collect relief goods for the victims of super typhoon Yolanda in Tacloban, Leyte.

Set in Gulp Club, Panay Avenue on December 5, 2013, from 8 PM to 12 MN, Rock for Relief 2 will feature classic 60's and 70's rock n roll bands such as Himig Sesenta and Werbak, folksinger MelOrosa and many more.

Entrance is at Php 100.00.

All proceeds and relief goods will be donated to the victims of Typhoon Yolanda.

2) KapARTiran Art Fair - Dec 6 Fri 5pm, Dec 7-8 Sat-Sun 9am at Tapawan Bldg (see Location Map below)

Brod Boy Luna's art fair opens on Dec 6 especially for the brods and on Dec 7-8 for the general public..

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: UP BETAN PATAK-PATAK NG PAGLINGAP
THE UPBSFI CENTRAL (UP Beta Sigma Fraternity Alumni Association) is CANCELLING the tradfitional CHRISTMAS PARTY. Instead we are scheduling a mass of sympathy to our countrymen who perished during the recent typhoon including thier families who survived. As we know aids from everywhere are now pouring in Eastern Visayas. We are accepting voluntary contribution before and after the mass. COLLECTION WILL BE DONATED ONLY TO BETA SIGMANS affected affected in Samar and Leyte including Bantayan Island (which was also flattened by the typhoon) and other parts of Cebu. As of now Brod Rupert Ambil and Brod Treasurer Ollie Jumao-as are now working on the list of affected brods in those areas. Any amount will surely help. we decided on cash donation and not in kind as to do away with operational requirements like procurement, shipment and distribution that will eventually entail additional expenses. This will also allow them to buy what they really need on the ground. We will publish the names of donors (without the amount) and the names of recipient-brods. (FYI, the family of the late Master Brod Johnny Chiuten is located in Bantayan Island.)

Cost of delivery within Metro Manila is inclusive in the price of the painting. However, the shipping cost for overseas purchase is not included in the price of the artwork.

(Due to the massive impact of the Yolanda Typhoon to our kababayans in Eastern Visayas, I decided to donate part of the proceeds to the survivors of the calamity. In my planned exhibit in Feb 2014, I will donate a percentage of the income to the scholarship program of the frat.)
