The year's almost over! After the Willie Nep show in Hollywood and the UP South's 20th Anniversary Grand Ball and Induction of Officers in Valencia in September, the last quarter was still full of activities and happenings. We saw some "comings" - visits by Boy Morales, Lito Lazaro and Boyet Fernandez; and a "going" - Laureen Escobar, LC'76, moving to the Windy City in the Midwest. Economics whiz Bernie Bacosa'71 (UP Economics, Queens University MBA) relocated from Toronto to LA with wife Nancy. GP Sonny Pagador and Jun Valenzuela tied the knot (not to each other). President-Elect Frank Mamaril'56 led the Betans at the UPAAGLA Christmas "Lantern Parade" Party, while the 3rd Flor Pagador Bowling for Charity raised more funds for the next UP Beta Sigma Southern California Medical Mission in the Philippines in 2007. The traditional Christmas party at Sonny's was another joyous occasion for the UP SoCal Families. The upcoming New Year Eve's Party should be a bang at Frank and Rory's lakeview house in Yorba Linda.
