Dario C. Sabularse Medical Mission by Pido Almarez'06

I’ll start off by thanking Brod Victor Persius Chan and Globe Telecom for making the Dario C. Sabularse Medical Mission possible. I also would like to thank all the Alumni brods especially to Brod Gil Buddy Quililan and the rest of the Beta Sigma Medical Caravan who participated in the event. And lastly, my special thanks to Ranchers Club and Chemical Society as our working partners in this activity. The resident brods are very much grateful for all your support.
The Dario C. Sabularse Medical Mission, with a goal of helping the less fortunate individuals from the community of Los Banos through free medical and dental services, was a success. The activity was held at the Los Baños National High School Covered Court, Batong Malake, LB, last Saturday, March 6, 2010. We were able to serve almost 200 patients during the event.
Medicines such as vitamin syrups for children, multivitamin capsules, paracetamol tablets, and reading glasses were given to the recipients. Others received free dental service from the Beta Sigma Medical Caravan’s Dentist. In addition, we were also able to give free clothes to the beneficiaries from the Balikbayan Box from UP North through Brod Raffy Hidalgo, Brod Tomsac Criador and Brod Jojo Alejar.
We would also like to mention the Alumni Brods who supported the residents on the day of the activity. Ruben Pascual, Freddy Fajardo, Jojo Alejar, Ambo Lapis, Tomsac Criador, Douglas Mondoñedo, Nonoy Tagaro, Henry Custodio, Caloy Tallud, Ryan Romasanta. Truly their presence has served as an inspiration for the residents to strive harder for the glory of the Fraternity.
One of the objectives of this activity is to rekindle the bond between the fraternity and the other organizations of Brod Dario. And we believe that this objective was successfully met. We hope that through the bond that was developed during the activity, we may be able to recruit the male members of Ranchers and Chem Soc.
Again, we, the resident brods are really thankful for all the support you have given us in making the first Dario C. Sabularse Medical Mission successful. It would not have been possible without your support. We are looking forward to having this activity again.
