I'm in Amsterdam attending Asian
and European Media Dialogue at Royal Tropical Institute. Delivered a
speech regarding "Responsible Media Practices". Wish to share with
you some photos I took. Temp here is 6-8 degrees. Took my good
ol' reliable point-and-shoot cams: a Canon G10 and Leica D-Lux 4.
They're easy to handle during travels and "hindi masakit sa mata" for
snatchers if you're a tourist. My Leica performed well on low-lights
and ultra-wide range. Its attention to details is a given while
Canon is superb with its manual control for more expression and close-ups.
Amsterdam is "Old Europe" with rivers and canals intersecting the city,
streets and alleys are small, buildings and houses are of minimum size
except churches and museums. This is the home city of Van Gogh,
Rembrandt, Anne Frank and Heineken Brewery. Please enjoy!
