The raffle for
Brod Mel Gulfin, UPLB65, has concluded. The winning ticket was drawn by
Brod Johnny Chiuten, UPD60, of the UPBSFI Council of Elders, on December
18 at the Panda Inn Restaurant in
The gross proceeds raised by the International was $3,735. Except for the cost of the prize, the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W7 7.2 megapixel digital camera, the whole balance will be forwarded to Brod Mel. Upon verification of the ticket number by UPBSFI Secretary Danny Galoso and Treasurer Edsel Arceo, the identity of the holder of the winning ticket, the list of donors along with some pictures will be posted very soon at the International website: http://upbetasigma-international.org at the ‘Announcements - For General Public' section. We will notify the winner by email and ship the prize to his mailing address. Be sure to check your tickets and the website as you might be the owner of a new Sony digital, just in time for the holidays.
I want to thank all the brods who participated in the raffle and who shared the gift of caring and giving to a brother and his family who are in trying circumstances. Most especially, we wish Brod Mel, Beybs, Michael and the rest of the Gulfins a very Merry Christmas (sorry, “Happy Holidays” won’t cut it for me) and a Prosperous and a More Peaceful New Year, of course it will be!!
