"Let's pray and wish Brod Rudolf de la Rosa '63 speedy recovery!!"

Dear Brods,

I'm sharing with you our visit with Brod Dolf in Salisbury, Maryland on Oct. 21.  I have appended Dolf's message

and the pictures provided by Eding Hizon, Pet Grajo, Wally Rodriguez and Manny Cayetano on their visits.  I had

asked Dolf first if this was okay with him, so here they are.

We truly had a wonderful and uplifting experience in seeing Dolf, just chatting the hours away and sharing our

Betan brotherhood and fellowship.  Wouldn’t it be great if we can all wish him well, especially for those who had

known and been with him, as he continues to battle and make progress in his treatment.  As Dolf is lacking in

medical insurance, please extend whatever caring help you can give.  Most important, let's show him our support

and keep him in our prayers.

Here are Dolf's personal info:
Home address: 205 Lakewood Drive, Salisbury, MD 21804-7220, USA
  Email address:  dolfdelaro@comcast.net
  Cell phone:      443-994-9160

My personal regards and thanks to you all.

P.S.  Please also include in your prayers Brods Pete Gatbonton, Ely Aldana, Pogs Gaspay and Engie de Gracia.
They too are coping with their medical conditions.  We wish them and their families the best.

Hi Dolf,

Below are the pictures from UP Beta Sigma SoCal and of our get-together in Salisbury.

Our visit - Rolly, Raoul and I - did as much to our spirit as it did yours.  When we left, we were
very happy for the opportunity to just be together and spend the time with you like brods of old
recounting stories and memories of the past and sharing new ones.  I'll be sure to extend your
regards and thanks to the SoCal gang.

Give my hello to Eding, Barbara and Kay on their visit and I hope they find as much fun and
enjoyment as we did.   Our thoughts and prayers are always with you on your next session
on Thursday and every day on your road to recovery.

Keep getting stronger and putting in those pounds, Dolf.  Kita tayo ulit, 'tol !!

Fraternally... Norman

Eding'63 & Barbara Hizon, and Kay Smaby visit on Oct 24, 2006

*Note (for those who didn’t know and/or were too young to know):

-- Eding from the College of Pharmacy was the Diliman GP in 1967-68, a batchmate and golf buddy of Dolf

     from their college days.

-- Kay Smaby enrolled in UP in the mid 60's along with other students from Smith College, a private liberal arts

college for women in Northampton, Massachusetts and was a close friend of Dolf.

-- And Dolf is from the College of Fine Arts, a Varsity basketball player and a darn good golfer. His parents,

Rogelio (Regidor) de la Rosa and Carlota Delgado, were screen stars in the Philippine movies. His father was

former senator and ambassador to Cambodia (Kampuchea), The Netherlands, Poland, Bulgaria and Sri Lanka

and was the dean of the RP diplomatic corps.
